Dometic invests in Italian manufacturing facilities

Dometic Group is expanding its marine manufacturing facilities with a new purpose-built facility in northern Italy.

The new factory will enable the company to increase its production capacity, strengthen its European operations and support global demand for its marine solutions.

The facility, located in Cabiate, in the province of Como, will be used for both manufacturing and distribution activities and will replace Dometic’s existing regional premises.

The investment will bring manufacturing, product testing, warehousing and distribution together in one purpose-built location, with the development aimed at increasing manufacturing capacity, streamlining operations and strengthening supply chain resilience.

Customer demand

Dometic says the improvements will enable the company to better meet customer demand through greater product availability, shorter lead times and enhanced support for OEM partners and aftermarket customers worldwide.

“This expansion reflects Dometic’s long-term commitment to serving our worldwide marine customers,” said Eric Fetchko, president, Dometic Marine Segment.

“By bringing our operations together in a purpose-built facility, we will be better positioned to support our OEM partners and customers with increased manufacturing capability, reliable supply and continued innovation.

“Just as importantly, the new site provides a modern environment that supports our people and positions our business for long-term growth.”
