Sunseeker International has launched Sunseeker Europe, which will assume responsibility for distribution, service and warranty support in European and international markets previously handled by independent distributors Sunseeker London and Sunseeker Poole (SSL).
The decision follows SSL’s submission of notices of intention to appoint an administrator which means it will cease operating as Sunseeker International’s European distributor.
Production at Sunseeker’s facilities in Dorset is continuing without interruption, with customer orders and yachts under construction unaffected.
Customers with yachts in build or on order will continue to receive support throughout construction, delivery and handover, while existing owners will retain access to service, aftersales and warranty assistance from Sunseeker.
Stronger relationships
“The launch of Sunseeker Europe marks an important step in bringing our customers closer to the heart of the Sunseeker brand,” said chief commercial officer Andy Gawthorpe.
“Owning a Sunseeker has always been about more than the yacht itself; it is about the people, expertise and passion behind creating it together.
“By taking responsibility for these markets, we can build even stronger relationships with our customers, provide a more connected and seamless experience, and give owners greater access to the teams who design, engineer and build our yachts.
“That is an exciting development for both Sunseeker and our European customers.”
Sunseeker Europe will operate from Sunseeker’s facilities in Dorset.
SSL are separate legal entities from Sunseeker International, the manufacturer of Sunseeker yachts.
The notices relate solely to SSL and do not affect Sunseeker International’s operations, production or financial position.
