Antony Sheriff joins ProLogium board

ProLogium, manufacturer of next-generation lithium ceramic batteries, has appointed Antony Sheriff to its board of directors.

Sheriff brings nearly four decades of leadership experience across mobility, electric vehicle, and high-end manufacturing sectors, with a background spanning product commercialisation, manufacturing scale-up, international operations and board governance.

His appointment is intended to strengthen ProLogium’s board capabilities as the company advances from technology and manufacturing validation toward broader commercialisation and growth.

Sheriff’s career spans a period as CEO of McLaren Automotive where he helped develop its road-car business and establish an end-to-end operating platform spanning product development, manufacturing, and commercialisation.

Princess Yachts

He subsequently led Princess Yachts and has also served in board and governance roles at companies including Rivian Automotive, Aston Martin Lagonda, and Pininfarina. He has also been a special advisor to Sunseeker International.

Since 2024, Sheriff has served as CEO of Rimac Group, which is the majority shareholder of Bugatti Rimac and wholly owns Rimac Technology which develops high-performance electric vehicle technologies, including battery systems, electric powertrain systems and other electrification solutions.

“What makes Antony’s experience particularly valuable is not only his deep understanding of the global automotive industry, but also his firsthand experience in building and scaling an automotive business — from product development and manufacturing operations to global market expansion.

“As ProLogium continues to scale its global business and prepares to enter the public markets, we believe Antony’s addition to the board will bring valuable strategic perspective to our next phase of growth, global market development and corporate governance,” said Vincent Yang, founder and CEO of ProLogium.

True impact of technology

Sheriff added: “Throughout my career, I have firmly believed that the true impact of a technology is not just in innovation, but, more importantly, in the ability to reliably produce and deliver that technology to customers while establishing a sustainable business that generates commercial value.

“This is what differentiates ProLogium from other solid-state battery players.

“After more than a decade of accumulating experience, ProLogium is ready to deliver today, thanks to its continued efforts to iteratively improve its technology and manufacturing capabilities.”

The appointment comes as the company advances its production in Taiwan and establishes a European manufacturing presence.
