The first GX42 has hit the water ahead of the yacht’s world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show – two years after GX Superyachts was first unveiled.
The 42-metre flagship will now enter final outfitting and sea trials.
Developed by the team behind Greenline Yachts, the GX42 builds on more than 15 years of experience in hybrid propulsion and energy management, combining contemporary design and long-range capability.
The yacht has been built in collaboration with SES Yachts in Turkey, with exterior and interior design by Marco Casali, founder of Too Design, whose approach has been to connect onboard space through clean architectural lines, natural materials and understated luxury.
The result is a yacht designed for extended cruising, family living and connection with the sea.
“It is incredibly rewarding to see the GX42 exactly as we imagined her from the very first sketches,” said Casali.
“Our ambition was to create a yacht that feels timeless rather than fashionable, where sustainability and elegance naturally complement one another.
“Watching her leave the shipyard for the first time is a special moment for the entire design team.”
Lower emissions
Features on board the yacht include an advanced parallel diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system, integrated solar arrays and a large-capacity lithium battery bank, reducing reliance on generators.
The yacht’s technology enables the vessel to operate in zero-emissions mode for up to up to 48 hours at anchor and reduce onboard electricity consumption by up to 45%.

The GX42 is the first model in a planned range extending from 24 to 56 metres.
