Fort Lauderdale-based brokerage and maritime advisory firm, has acquired assets of St. Petersburg, Florida-based J Brothers Yacht Sales.
The acquisition will expand The Yacht Experts’ presence on the West Coast and strengthen its position in Florida.
It will expand The Yacht Experts into a dual-coast operation while also introducing new technology platforms and professional development systems designed to modernise how yacht brokerage businesses operate.
As part of the transition, The Yacht Experts will absorb a selection of brokers, yacht listings, buyer relationships and marketing infrastructure previously managed by J Brothers Yacht Sales.

J Brothers founder Michael Johnson will now focus his efforts on expanding Vigor Media, a marine industry consulting and technology firm focused on improving broker performance, client engagement and business development across the yacht brokerage sector.

With the acquisition, The Yacht Experts will gain access to J Brothers’ client base, inventory and operational infrastructure on the West Coast, a move aimed at enabling The Yacht Experts to better serve its existing clients and attract new ones in the yacht sales and services market.

Over the next few months, The Yacht Experts will integrate J Brothers’ operations and client base into its existing business.
Through the partnership, The Yacht Experts will become a launch partner for two new marine industry platforms developed in collaboration with Vigor Media.
The Aligned Experience Program and DECK Yacht Broker Pro are designed to help brokers improve client engagement, strengthen operational systems, and build scalable brokerage businesses.
The Yacht Experts is run by co-founders Rob Hammerling and Christopher Saltzburg who teamed up to combine their passion for boating with a commitment to customer service.
The company provides yacht sales alongside a variety of dock and slip rental options in Florida.
