Ferretti International Holding rejects tender offer

Ferretti International Holding SpA (FIH), the controlling shareholder of Ferretti SpA, has rejected the partial tender offer launched by KKCG Maritime saying it does not accept and has no intention to accept such an offer.

In a statement, FIH said it remains committed to supporting Ferretti’s sustainable development, ensuring continuity in its operations and governance, and enhancing long-term value for all shareholders.

And FIH said remains confident in Ferretti’s long-term strategy, industrial fundamentals and growth prospects.

Further increases in share holding

FIH emphasises that it considers its investment in the company to be of a long-term and strategic nature and in line with this approach, has, from time to time, increased its shareholding.

Further increases in share holding have not been ruled out.

In its capacity as controlling shareholder, FIH says it intends to continue exercising its voting rights with a view to maintaining stability and continuity in the company’s governance framework.

And FIH says it expects to seek to maintain effective control of Ferretti and appoint the majority of the board of directors at the company’s next annual general meeting, in order to support the consistent execution of the shipyard’s long-term strategy.

Kuwaiti businessman increases Ferretti stake

The statement follows reports of a takeover bid by KKCG Maritime which formerly remains open.

Earlier in 2026, it was reported that Kuwaiti businesman Bader Nasser Al-Kharafi had increased his stake in Ferretti Group to 3%.

The investment is said to be ‘part of BNK’s broader strategy aimed at building a global portfolio focused on prestigious assets and high-quality, well-managed companies with strong growth potential’.

Ferretti Group encompasses the yacht brands of Wally, Ferretti Yachts, Peashing, Itama, Riva, CRN and Custom Line.
