Fountaine Pajot forms Greek joint venture

Fountaine Pajot Group and Atalanta Marine have formed Fountaine Pajot Group Greece, a joint venture that will represent the French boatbuilder’s three brands in Greece and Cyprus.

The Athens-based business will oversee commercial development for Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans, Fountaine Pajot Yachts and Dufour. It will also provide sales, administrative and technical support to private owners, charter operators and other industry customers.

The venture builds on a relationship between the companies of almost 15 years. Its formation coincides with the 50th anniversaries of both Fountaine Pajot and Atalanta Marine in 2026.

FPGG will operate near Alimos Marina and will be led by Panos Douros, who has worked in yacht sales and has more than 35 years’ experience in sailing and racing.

Expanding activities

The company plans to build on sales of the Fountaine Pajot Yachts range while expanding the group’s sailing catamaran and Dufour monohull activities.

“The creation of Fountaine Pajot Group Greece reflects our commitment to being closer to our markets and clients,” said Steven Guedeu, deputy chief executive of Fountaine Pajot Group.

“Together with Atalanta Marine, we are combining industrial expertise and local knowledge to better support the Greek yachting community.”

Atalanta Marine founder and president George Ertsos said the new structure would allow the partners to work more closely with charter businesses and owners.
