The Trafalgar Group has exchanged contracts to purchase Northshore Shipyard, located in Itchenor on Chichester Harbour on the UK’s South Coast.
The new addition to the Trafalgar Group includes a boatyard, lifting facilities, commercial space, and office spots.
Northshore Shipyard covers an area of approximately 4 acres, with facilities including a deep-water pontoon, two slipways, a café, and commercial buildings totalling 60,000sqft. The acquisition is a significant milestone says Trafalgar Group, which is keen explore its potential.

The shipyard dates back to the 1930s when it was originally named Gazeby’s Yard.
During World War 2, the shipyard was commandeered by the Ministry of Defence to build Fairmile landing craft with the ML shed still in use.
The shipyard changed hands in 2003 with new yacht models introduced and a new factory built on site in 2007 for the production of the Southerly brand.
The New Southerly Factory was opened by HRH The Princess Royal in 2010.
The Trafalgar Group provides a range of services including a boat club, boat sales, training and serviced offices.
The Group also owns Thornham Marina also located in Chichester Harbour. Earlier this year, the Group completed the sale of the Trafalgar Wharf site in Portsmouth Harbour.
