Turkey’s largest travel lift unveiled

Turkey’s KRM Yacht has successfully tested and launched its new 900-ton travel lift at its Tuzla, Istanbul, facility.

The travel lift is capable of handling yachts up to 70m (230ft) in length, and is thought to be the largest of its kind in Turkey.

Testing included 1,100-ton load tests,with the result allowing KRM Yacht to tackle more demanding superyacht projects.

The unveiling of the travel lift concluded a landmark year for KRM Yacht.

The company also secured LRQA certifications for quality, environmental responsibility, and safety.

Top-tier playerAnd its inclusion in the ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group solidifies its status as a top-tier player in the global yachting industry.

KRM Yacht specialises in superyacht refit and rebuild projects and has delived more than 200 projects since it was founded.

“KRM Yacht was founded for the sole purpose of refit projects on superyachts,” added Karen. “In this context, it is a great pleasure to state that we are the first and only company in Turkey specialising only in refit.”

The company has more than 100 full time employees.
