Romeo Marine shows new Romeo 55

Romeo Marine’s new 55-metre Romeo 55 has a steel-hulled, aluminium-superstructure yacht with a volume of 780GT and powered by twin MTU engines.

The yacht, which received its debut at Monaco Yacht Show, has a maximum speed of 15 knots and a range of 5,200 nautical miles at 10 knots.

The yacht draws on the Dubai-based shipyard’s two decades of fit-out, refit and rebuild work, together with more than 40 years of interiors experience within the wider Romeo Interiors Group.

Its exterior arrangement includes main and upper-deck dining and lounge areas, owner’s-suite balconies and a sun deck with an aft spa pool, fitness area, cinema set-up, bar and panoramic sky lounge.

Accommodation comprises a full-beam owner’s suite forward on the main deck and five VIP and guest suites on the lower deck.

The owner’s area includes a double-height ceiling, skylight, study, separate bathrooms and drop-down balconies. A glass guest lift and central staircase connect the decks.

Environment shaped by nature

Pulina Exclusive Interiors developed the interior around natural forms, Mediterranean light and residential comfort with materials including mahogany veneers, natural stone, leather, metal details and bespoke parquet flooring.

“We sought to create an environment that feels as though it has been gently shaped by nature itself,” explained founder Alessandro Pulina.

Large windows, including double-height glazing in the aft superstructure, connect the saloons with the surrounding seascape.

Folding balconies and flexible furniture arrangements support both private use and charter operations.

“The Romeo 55 is not just an exquisite yacht designed for discerning international owners, but also a statement of Romeo Marine’s capabilities as a new-build shipyard,” said Nader Nashed, chief executive of Romeo Marine Dubai.

And he added that the project combined the team’s experience in design, project management, engineering and construction.
