The Barcelona International Boat Show will bring together 170 exhibitors, more than 300 represented brands and over 200 boats from 14–18 October.
Organised by Fira de Barcelona with the Spanish National Association of Nautical Companies, the 63rd edition will occupy Moll de la Fusta and Marina Port Vell, with new areas dedicated to water sports, destinations, on-water experiences and electric boating.
Exhibitors include Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon, Excess, Mercury, Bluegame, Sea Ray and X-Yachts, while Oyster, Amel and YYachts return after several years away.
The afloat and ashore display will include the world premiere of the 19.65-metre YYachts Y6 and the Spanish debut of the twin-outboard YOT 53 catamaran. Eight European Yacht of the Year nominees and 14 boats over 16 metres are also scheduled to attend.
“We are facing one of the finest editions of recent years, with an exceptional offering in terms of quality, diversity of models and range of boat sizes,” said show president Luis Conde.
New areas extend commercial reach
The SeaMotion programme will add Experience Water for product demonstrations and an Indoor Pavilion covering marinas, harbour facilities, diving, shopping and watersports. More than 240 marina facilities will participate directly or indirectly.
Innovation Dock will combine an ashore exhibition with on-water demonstrations of fully electric boats and equipment. Sea trials for prospective buyers will also be expanded, alongside the Barcelona International Rowing Trophy.
For trade visitors, Ágora-Port will run from 14–16 October with 25 speakers discussing skills, port-city links, access to boating and accessible sailing.
ANEN director general Jordi Carrasco said the show was ‘a key platform for taking the pulse of the industry’ as companies address competitiveness, training and sustainability.
“The nautical sector is undergoing a period of transformation, facing challenges related to competitiveness, training, sustainability and new ways of accessing boating,” he said.
Event director Josep Antoni Llopart said the programme is intended to serve buyers and newcomers.
Spanish recreational boat registrations reached 4,371 between January and August 2026, up 7% year on year, according to ANEN.
