Heesen Yachts acquired by Dutch entrepreneur

Heesen Yachts has been acquired by Dutch entrepreneur and investor Laurens Last.

The transaction is set to secure the aluminium and steel motor yacht builder’s future, strengthening the company’s financial foundation.

Laurens Last is a seasoned entrepreneur and passionate yachtsman, bringing vast business experience and a personal connection to the yachting lifestyle and community.

In 2024, Heesen reported a record-breaking financial performance, with revenue of EUR 209 million and EBITDA of EUR 17 million.

The company says it will continue to focus on global sales expansion, technological innovation, and excellence in yacht design and construction under Laurens leadership.

Heesen Yachts was founded in 1978 and specialises in the design, engineering and construction of steel and aluminium, custom and semi-custom motor yachts ranging from 50 to 80 metres.

The shipbuilder has launched more than 200 yachts since it was founded.

Laurens Last manages a portfolio of companies through his TSAL Family Office.
