Gym Marine acquired by Paragon Studio Projects

Paragon Studio Projects has acquired Gym Marine superyacht gym design consultancy.

Under the terms of the transaction, Paragon Studio assumes full ownership of the business, including its team, brand and all ongoing projects.

Gym Marine was founded in 2014 by Edward Thomas and develops onboard fitness and wellness design within the superyacht sector.

Under the joint leadership of Edward Thomas and Guy Royffe, the company has delivered bespoke gym installations for more than 80 of the world’s top 100 largest yachts, alongside a significant number of additional new-build and refit projects across the global fleet.

As part of the integration, Guy joins Paragon Studio as associate director – marine to oversee all yacht-related projects.

Products designed and made in the UK

Paragon Studio was launched in 2024 by Edward Thomas and creates bespoke wellness spaces and design-led gym equipment for private residential, hospitality and yacht clients with products designed and made in the UK.

Following the acquisition, Gym Marine will continue to operate as a trading style of Paragon Studio representing Paragon Studio’s products and design ethos.

Integrated manufacturing capability

Guy added: “Joining Paragon Studio allows us to combine Gym Marine’s long-standing design expertise with a fully integrated manufacturing capability.

“This creates a more cohesive offering for shipyards, designers and clients across new-build and refit projects and enables us to continue raising design standards for on-board wellness.”
