Italian shipbuilder MED Group has previewed the first in its new line of high-performance TYKUN chase boats, ahead of its debut at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show.
The TYKUN X chase boat is 10.5 metres in length and has been designed by Italian architect Tommaso Spadolini, drawing inspiration from military technology and from MED Group’s defence-sector experience.
Using the technologies of MED Defense, TYKUN models are developed on fully certified, ergonomic platforms, including NATO-qualified and EC-approved PRO RIBs, which MED Group points out brings advanced, field-tested engineering into the luxury chase boat segment.
“With TYKUN X, we wanted to create a chase boat that delivers performance and practicality without compromising on design sophistication,” explained architect Tommaso Spadolini.

The TYKUN X has an aluminium hull, engineered with advanced stability calculations, and will deliver speeds exceeding 50 knots.
Complementing this is a carbon-fibre hard-top providing a lightweight structural protection and a lateral terrace.
Tommaso added: “The lateral terrace is just one of several smart features we’ve incorporated to enhance the onboard experience.
“It was a pleasure to design this vessel, and we can’t wait for attendees at MYS to step aboard and experience it for themselves.”

TYKUN X is available with several personalisation options, from layout configurations to materials, colour palettes and electronics.
