Yamaha Motor Europe has introduced two new additions to its outboard line-up – the V MAX SHO 250hp and V MAX SHO 200hp.
The models have been designed for high-speed thrill rides and water sports.
Both engines share a 4.2-litre V6 platform and include engineering features such as plasma-fused sleeveless cylinders.
“With the launch of the V MAX SHO 250hp and 200hp in Europe, Yamaha extends its legacy of quality outboard engines into two new engines that deliver incredible acceleration,” said Fabrice Lacoume, marine director at Yamaha Motor Europe.

“These engines combine race‑inspired performance with ultimate practicality delivering every bit as much excitement as they do reliability.”
Key features of the new engines include a Super High Output V6 4.2L design that has been tuned for responsive torque and racing-grade acceleration.
A high-output 70 alternator provides 12 V, electrical power for onboard systems such as fish finders, lighting, bilge pumps — without straining the engine at a low RPM.
And a DOHC, 24‑valve configuration and TCI ignition provide enhanced airflow, combustion efficiency and start-up reliability across RPM bands.
Consistent power delivery
The engines can be tilted up or down from any angle using a double‑tap of a button and they also have been designed with Yamaha’s signature V MAX SHO styling.
Electronic fuel injection provides smooth, crisp throttle response, fuel economy and consistent power delivery.
In addition, Yamaha has incorporated precision engine tuning to reduce vibration and engine noise.
The new outboards will be available to order in Europe from Q4 2025.
