Webasto has expanded its BlueCool product lineup with the BlueCool SX-Series, a series of self-contained air-conditioning units designed for smaller boats with up to three cabins.
The new products follow on from the market launch of the BlueCool VX Series for larger yachts in 2024.
The series uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R32, and features a Global Warming Potential of 675.
The products have energy efficiency ratios of up to EER 3.1 and COP 4.4, and achieve up to 27% higher cooling and 43% better heating performance compared to previous models. Power consumption is cut by up to 24%.
Features of the new SX Series include titanium condensers and epoxy-coated stainless-steel condensate trays.
Sustainability is the guiding principle
The rotated layout of the units have been designed for easier installation and control is provided by a multi-colour MyTouch display.
The BlueCool SX-Series has seven cooling capacities from 6 to 27 kBTU/h and variants with 115 and 230 volt, as well as 50/60 Hz compatibility.
“Sustainability is not a buzzword for us, but the guiding principle behind every new product. That is why we consistently rely on future-proof refrigerants such as R32, reduce weight and energy consumption, and combine these efforts with durable, marine-grade materials,” explained Jörg Hornung, vice president aftermarket at Webasto.
In addition, Webasto has expanded its range of SoLite roof concept products with the launch of the SoLite 12 and SoLite 20 for smaller boats.
