Wichard Group changes leadership

Wichard Group has changed its leadership, appointing Fabrice Didden and Éric Herbault as president and CEO respectively.

The appointments follow on from the retirement of former president Jean-Claude Ibos.

Since joining the Group in 2015, Fabrice has led industrial operations, overseeing external growth projects, and, ultimately, managing the Group.

Éric brings experience in managing industrial entities. His international career, focused on commercial development, will is set to support the Group’s expansion.

“Since my arrival in 2015, we have built a strong relationship together, founded on trust and deeply rooted values: teamwork, sharing, rigor, excellence, respect, and conviviality,” said Fabrice.

Jean-Claude Ibos joined Wichard in 1998 as chief financial officer, before taking over as head of the Group in 2006.

During his tenure he oversaw several acquisitions including Sparcraft and Facnor, in 2013, Lorima and Maillon Rapide Péguet in 2018, Courant in 2022, Ronstan International and Andersen, and Axxon Composites in 2023.

“The story obviously does not end there, and this is one of the strengths of our Group,” said Jean-Claude.

“Our brands, the history of our companies and their DNA are the backbone of our operations and must exist over the long term.”

Wichard Group consists of nine brands and manufactures a range of safety components for the industrial and marine markets.
