Marco Plicchi has joined Sialia Yachts as chief operating officer.
Marco has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the yachting industry and in his new role will oversee all production processes and lead the development of new products and model lines.
His mission will be to enhance operational efficiency, drive technological innovation, and ensure product quality.
Sialia Yachts is in the final stages of production of a new model: the fully electric Sialia 45 yacht -which will have a top speed of 43 knots – set to launch in June 2025, with its world debut scheduled for the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2025.
Prior to joining Sialia Yachts, Marco has worked with some of the world’s leading yachting brands and shipyards, overseeing the design, engineering, production, and operational management.
Operational leadership
He has led multidisciplinary teams, directed complex new product developments, implemented advanced production and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and managed key areas such as sea trials, quality assurance, and after-sales service.
His experience includes both technical excellence and strategic operational leadership.
Marco holds a degree in naval architecture and marine engineering.
As a member of the executive leadership team at Sialia Yachts and its parent company, Silent Straits Group, he will play a central role in advancing the shipyard’s vision for operational excellence, innovation, and international growth.
Sialia Yachts builds a range of performance electric yachts from 40 to 100ft (13 to 30m).
