Italian boatbuilder Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) has opened a new American office, establishing a permanent presence in the region.
The shipyard says the move follows a growing number of owners coming from the USA, Central, and South America.
CDM has already sold and delivered more than a dozen explorer yachts across the Americas, ranging from the Darwin 86 to the shipyard’s current flagship, the Flexplorer 165.
The new American office will be headed by Nick Bischoff in his role of CDM area manager Americas.
The newly established CDM Americas office joins CDM Australia.
“We are extremely glad to welcome Nick in our tribe,” said Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and CEO of Cantiere delle Marche.

“We are sure that his expertise and deep understanding of the market will further strengthen our brand across the Atlantic.”
Nick was raised in the yacht sales business, following in the footsteps of his father, who built a successful career in New England, Hawaii, and Florida.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in business management, Nick joined boat builder Boston Whaler, where he gained invaluable industry insights.
His career has also included working with brands including Allied Richard Bertram Marine Group, Tiara Yachts, and Sunseeker Yachts.
For the last seven years, Nick has managed the Americas office for Benetti.
“I am excited to join CDM and look forward to collaborating with the brokerage community and the CDM shipyard to deliver ultimate client experience,” he said.
CDM builds explorer yachts from 26 to 47 metres in length. The luxury boatbuilder was established in 2010.
