New technical director for HPi Verification Services

HPi Verification Services (HPiVS) has appointed Adam Greene as technical director (marine).

Adam joins HPiVS from his role as naval architecture manager at Princess Yachts, where he was involved in the design and development of some of the brand’s yachts.

Prior to that he worked for both power and sail boat builders in UK, Italy and Spain.

He will take over from Bas Edmonds during September, who, just back from officiating at the Paris Olympics sailing regatta, has served HPiVS with distinction in the role.

Bas will continue to support the company as an external consultant, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing access to his invaluable expertise, particularly with regards to commercial craft.

I am absolutely delighted to be joining HPiVS, knowing how well we have worked together on many other projects over the years.

“We are thrilled to welcome Adam to HPi Verification Services,” said Alasdair Reay, CEO of HPiVS. “His expertise in naval architecture, particularly with yachts at the larger end of the ‘small craft’ spectrum, will be instrumental in driving our marine division forward.

“We are also grateful to Bas Edmonds for his years of service and are pleased that he will continue to contribute as a consultant.”

Adam added: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining HPiVS, knowing how well we have worked together on many other projects over the years.

“I look forward to working with HPiVS and leading the talented marine team to build upon our valued exceptional service to our clients and industry colleagues in the marine sector.”

HPiVS provides technical and regulatory verification services across various industries and holds partnerships with several global organisations such as ABS, TUV and RINA.
