FJORD has launched its latest model, the FJORD 490, available as either the FJORD 490 Open with two inboard engines or the FJORD 490 SPORT powered by three V12 outboard engines.
The latest model is the first collaboration between FJORD and Italian yacht designer Marco Casali.
“We worked with passion alongside Marco Casali and our internal design and engineering team to create the FJORD 490, blending uniqueness with innovation,” explained Andrea Zambonini, FJORD product manager.
“Our goal was to meet the expectations of loyal customers looking for a larger yacht while also attracting new clients who appreciate the iconic FJORD design.
“Every detail, from the folding side balconies to the optimised interior layouts, was crafted to deliver the perfect balance of comfort, performance, and style.”
Vessel features include folding side balconies and a large T-top for shade, together with sun loungers aft and on the foredeck and a galley in the cockpit with a wide range of equipment options.
The FJORD 490 Sport also has storage space under its sunbed.
Below deck there is a choice of four different interior design styles and different layout variants.
The hull has been newly designed and has a hydrodynamically optimised high-performance sandwich hull.
On deck, the helm station has up to four pilot seats and is equipped with navigation electronics, control systems and displays.
The galley block behind it, with a width of 2.4m, not only offers a sink, large work surface and a choice of electric grill or cooker.
There is also a seating area with two folding and electrically lowerable tables able to accommodate up to ten people.
The bathing platform at the stern of the FJORD 490 Open can be lowered hydraulically as an option, while the FJORD 490 Sport’s design concentrates it on the areas to the side of the outboard engines.
In the outboard version, an electric gangway can be fitted on request.
