Canadian based ENVGO has received investment to develop its first electric hydrofoiling boat, the ENVGO NV1.
The new electric boat manufacturer is headed by Mike Peasgood together with a team of executives who have backgrounds in robotics and technology.
The company has partnered with superyacht designer David Weiss of Designova Creative for the design and engineering of the new craft.
ENVGO is also exploring partnerships with leading technology providers in battery technology, marine engineering, and autonomy systems to enhance the business and drive the industry forward.
The craft is a 25ft, six-person high-performance luxury cruiser able to travel at up to 50mph with a cruising speed of 25mph and a range of up to 80 miles.
Features include embedded safety controls, an intuitive display and interface, an autonomous navigation system and mobile connectivity.
“The NV1 stands out in the market due to its unique combination of hydrofoiling technology and intelligent autonomy systems,” said a company spokesperson. “While other electric boats focus solely on sustainability, ENVGO reimagines the entire boating experience.
“The hydrofoiling design reduces water resistance, resulting in greater range and a smoother ride than conventional hull designs.”
The spokesperson added: “Additionally, the integration of advanced autonomous features, inspired by the latest automotive technology, simplifies navigation and enhances safety. “This blend of performance, luxury, and cutting-edge technology positions ENVGO as a leader in the next generation of boating.”
