MDL Marinas has acquired a 3.2-acre plot to expand its Shamrock Quay marina in Southampton.
The site, at Lower William Street will be used for additional boat storage, manufacturing and boat sales.
“Our acquisition of land adjacent to Shamrock Quay earlier this year and the ongoing improvements demonstrate MDL’s dedication to expanding our offering and providing the best facilities for boat owners,” said Tim Mayer, MDL’s sales and marketing director.
The site, located adjacent to the marina, has been enhanced with additional CCTV cameras, as well as new power and water outlets.
In addition to expanding storage, the new site – designated as Millstone Point – incorporates a building with offices which MDL plans to rent out to potential tenants.
The site, which has waterfront and deep-water access, has also had an upgraded pontoon installed, which can accommodate yachts up to 50 metres in length.
Other recent upgrades at Shamrock Quay include an overhaul of H to K pontoons, a new pontoon access gate, road resurfacing and resurfacing of the lower-level of the car park.
