Marine Resources is collaborating with METSTRADE for a second time

Marine recruitment agency Marine Resources is collaborating for a second time with METSTRADE through the Career Zone initiative within the Young Professionals Club.

The partnership reinforces a shared commitment from both organisations to nurture the next generation of talent within the industry, extending beyond the event itself.

Attendees under 35 years of age will be able to join the Young Professionals Club and its daily programme of activities.

These will include insights on career advancement and business mentorship from industry leaders.

The team will also provide guided tours during METSTRADE with introductions to key marine businesses.

Career trajectory

“Investing in the career trajectory of this demographic is close to my heart,” said James Ward, Marine Resources MD.

“The insights from our 2022 salary survey highlight the significance of retaining talent within the 25-35 age bracket.

“We must provide the necessary motivation and recognition to keep them engaged and retained in our industry.”

During 2023 the event attracted more than 400 young professionals to the club over the three days, with overwhelmingly positive feedback received.

Marine Resources will continue to work with the young professionals to give them the tools to help them thrive while bringing together a community.

“METSTRADE is committed to championing accessibility and inclusion in the leisure marine industry,” said Niels Klarenbeek, METSTRADE director. “Our Young Professionals Club serves as a dynamic hub for ambitious students, starters, and young professionals eager to advance their careers in this sector.

“Through our partnership with Marine Resources, we are empowered to provide even greater support and opportunities for emerging talent, fostering their growth and shaping the future of the marine industry.”

METSTRADE will take place from 19-21 November 2024 in Amsterdam.
