Two new product lines and a technology agreement for Nautor Swan

Nautor Swan has announced it is to develop two new product lines alongside the sharing of technology through an agreement with America’s Cup racing team American Magic.

The new lines are a range of aluminim yachts and a new ‘pure’ cruising line.

Nautor Swan, part of the Sanlorenzo Group, announced the developments at boot Düsseldorf 2025.

The partnership with yacht racing team American Magic is intended to further the brand’s presence in America.

“We needed a partner who shares our vision and values, and reenergizing sailing in America is our challenge, both commercially and technologically,” explained Giovanni.

The partnership will include a shared events calendar dedicated to the ClubSwan 28, with an American fleet to be launched.

Our mission is to inspire communities and future generations to embrace the sport, igniting a passion for innovation, teamwork, and excellence.

The ClubSwan 28 is Nautor Swan’s smallest model and was launched in Summer 2024 as an entry to racing yacht.

It will also include the sale of Swan models in the US market, and the collaboration of technological solutions.

“At American Magic, we are driven by a renewed sense of American pride and unity in sailing,” Terry Hutchinson, president of sailing operations for American Magic, explained.

“Our mission is to inspire communities and future generations to embrace the sport, igniting a passion for innovation, teamwork, and excellence.”

“By applying the lessons learned in the America’s Cup, we aim to position American Magic and US-based technologies as global leaders in sailing innovation and high-performance excellence.”

The boatbuilder has set up a committee for the development of new yachts to lead the development of the two new product lines.

“We are working on various fronts, from refining the existing product lines in our range to launching two new lines that will complete the Nautor Swan offering, targeting two important markets where many owners expect to be able to buy a Swan,” said CEO Giovanni Pomati.

“These include yachts over 40 meters that will be built in aluminum and a new pure cruising line for those who want to sail in great comfort.”

Antonio Santella, senior advisor for new product development, outlined the core values behind the new product lines that will be presented and finalized in the future: “We are maintaining the beauty of the lines and working on protection, comfort, long-range cruising ability, with no compromise to sailing performance and, of course, sustainability, which will be implemented using various solutions, from hydrogeneration to other sources.”

The committee will include the designer German Frers, Sanlorenzo CEO Massimo Perotti and Nautor Swan chairman Leonardo Ferragamo.

The Jüdel & Vrölijk Studio is now also part of the team of designers working with Nautor Swan.
