Sunseeker revenue drops; gross margin improves

Sunseeker International’s 2024 revenue was £276.5 million, down from £325.3 million in 2023.

Profit before tax for the year ending 31 December 2024 was £6.4 million in 2024 compared to loss of £0.5m in 2023, with net income in 2024 reaching £5.8 million.

The company had net liabilities totalling £93.7 million compared to £99.6 million in 2023.

The company’s revenue decreased by 15% from £325.3 million in 2023 to £276.5 million in 2024 driven largely by a softening in global demand.

The gross margin was 11.8%, up from 10.9% in 2023.

During the period, Sunseeker says it faced a lengthy corporate sales process which resulted in supply chain difficulties and liquidity constraints.

However, in its strategic report, Sunseeker says it offset these by improved production efficiency which resulted in slightly improved gross margins.

Debt finance

The company also faced funding issues during the period.

In July 2026, it was announced that Sunseeker had been acquired by Cross Ocean Partners and Cheyenne Capital.

Previously these two organisations had provided debt finance to Orient Capital Partners and Lionheart Capital as part of the acquisition of the Sunseeker Group from the Dalian Wanda Group which occurred on November 1 2024.

The new owners are currently working with the company’s executive team to develop a plan that will provide long term sustainable growth.

This includes a focus on new product development which Sunseeker says is critical to its long-term growth.

Several new models have recently been launched including a new superyacht range and the 134 superyacht.

The plan will also look at market, brand positioning and the customer experience.

The company employs around 1,700 direct staff, with employee expenses, including directors, during the year approaching £93 million.

The highest paid director received remuneration including wages, salaries and pension costs of £988,000, compared to £471,000 in 2023.
