Silent Yachts introduces shared-ownership programme

Silent Yachts and Luxe Elite Yachts are partnering to introduce a solar-electric co-ownership model.

The partnership will initially be focused in the the Caribbean, with plans to expand worldwide.

The SY62 3-Deck Open will be the first solar-powered yacht offered within Luxe Elite Yachts’ portfolio, based at Village Cay Marina in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

The collaboration will combine Silent Yachts’ experience in solar-electric propulsion with Luxe Elite Yachts’ experience in yacht management and shared ownership models.

The SY62 3-Deck Open catamaran has four cabins, each with a private head, and is designed for quiet, efficient and autonomous cruising.

“By working with Luxe Elite Yachts, we’re providing owners with the opportunity to enjoy sustainable and efficient cruising in a more flexible way,” explained Steve Bell, chairman of Silent Yachts.

“Through shared ownership, we’re making the Silent Yachts experience more accessible, effortless and intelligently managed.”

The co-ownership model will be structured into four equal shares, each representing 25% participation and providing tenweeks of usage per year, with rotating schedules.

Yacht operations

Costs and responsibilities are shared among owners, while all yacht operations are managed by Luxe Elite Yachts.

The catamaran is equipped and prepared ahead of each stay by a concierge-style service.
