Seasmart Srl, an Italian company specialising in the production of high-end marine accessories, has been acquired by Italian investment firm Aksìa, through its fund Aksìa Capital VI.
Seasmart was founded in 2007 by chief executive officer Mirko Antonelli and is based in Pesaro.
The company designs, prototyes, and produces high-end accessories made with materials such as stainless steel, carbon fibre, and titanium including mooring cleats, awnings, locks, hatches, and boarding ladders.
The company develops both standard and custom solutions, with all products made in Italy, with design and assembly managed in-house.
Seasmart operates through a semi-integrated production model that combines in-house design and assembly capabilities with a network of suppliers for component manufacturing.
With Seasmart, and with the additional companies that will join the project, we aim to create the first European hub for high-end marine accessories.

The entry of Aksìa Capital VI aims to strengthen Seasmart’s positioning in the global high-end marine components market.
The plan envisions both organic growth and expansion through further acquisitions.
Seasmart will also broaden its range of deck accessories by introducing new product categories that are already in advanced stages of development.
In parallel, Aksìa will support Seasmart in enhancing its commercial network and expanding its presence in the refit segment, leveraging synergies across the various product lines.
The plan also includes investments to increase production capacity and reinforce the brand.
On the merger and acquisition front, Aksìa says it has identified several complementary target companies, with the objective of creating a leading European group in premium marine design accessories.
Made in Italy
The project will be led by Mirko Antonelli, who will continue as CEO.
“We are proud to invest in a sector that represents a true excellence of Made in Italy,” said Filippo Anichini, partner at Aksìa.
“The marine components industry is a niche where Italian expertise, technical solutions, and product quality are recognised worldwide.
“With Seasmart, and with the additional companies that will join the project, we aim to create the first European hub for high-end marine accessories, a group capable of offering shipyards a complete range of solutions that combine design, functionality, and quality.”
He continued: “Thanks to Mirko’s vision and his ability to develop innovative solutions, together with the support of newly appointed managers, we are confident that this marks the beginning of a solid and successful growth story.”
Steady development
Mirko added: “The entry of Aksìa marks an important step in Seasmart’s growth journey.
“After years of steady development, we have found in Aksìa a partner who shares our ambitious vision of growth through continued investment, a goal that has always been central to our company.
“Their experience in supporting Italian industrial businesses and their ability to enhance managerial capabilities will enable us to enter a new phase of expansion with even greater strength and stability.”
