Resorts World Langkawi, owned and operated by Genting Malaysia Berhad, and ONE°15 Marina, a subsidiary of SUTL Enterprise, have agreed a collaboration to develop ONE°15 Marina Langkawi.
The marina is expected to open to its first yachts in the second half of 2027, with more than 90 berths and capacity for superyachts up to 140ft. The project is intended to strengthen Langkawi’s role as a yachting and marine tourism hub in Southeast Asia.
Located along the Andaman Sea between Singapore and Phuket, the marina will sit on one of the region’s established cruising routes. Langkawi’s international connectivity, duty-free status and tourism infrastructure are expected to support demand from yacht owners, charter operators and leisure travellers.
ONE°15 Marina Langkawi will provide access to yacht charters, island-hopping, sunset cruises and other marine experiences, with visitors also able to use the accommodation, dining and entertainment facilities at Resorts World Langkawi.
Island tourism destination
“Through our collaboration with ONE°15 Marina, we look forward to enhancing Langkawi’s appeal as a premier island tourism destination, offering visitors new ways to explore the island and its surrounding waters,” explained Lee Thiam Kit, president of Genting Malaysia Berhad.
Arthur Tay, executive director and chief executive of SUTL Enterprise, added that the development was an important milestone in the expansion of ONE°15 Marina’s network across Asia.
And he explained that Langkawi would strengthen a natural cruising route between ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove in Singapore and ONE°15 Marina Panwa Phuket in Thailand.
The partners say the project will expand regional cruising infrastructure while linking marina services with Langkawi’s wider hospitality and tourism offer.
