New Zealand marine watermaker manufacturer Oceanflo Desalination has entered a new phase of growth, with founder Chris Dent joined by industry figures Ross Pratt and Chris Pratt, who have purchased a stake in the business.
The new partnership is intended to support Oceanflo’s growth ambitions, strengthen production capability, and enable the company to expand into new markets.
The new partners have many years of marine industry experience with Ross being co-founder and director of BEP Marine, and founder and director of Railblaza, and Chris working in design and operations at Railblaza.
High-output DC Watermakers
Oceanflo Desalination was founded by Chris, a superyacht engineer and machinist by trade, who has developed the systems based on his hands-on experience.
The company focuses on producing reliable and efficient high output DC Watermakers that are built around a pump and energy recovery system, eliminating the need for AC power.
“This is a natural next step for Oceanflo,” said Chris.
“Having partners who understand both the marine industry and the realities of building and supporting products on the water puts us in a strong position to grow, without compromising what makes our systems work for boat owners.”
