Numarine has opened an office in Fort Lauderdale and moved to direct representation across the Americas, replacing its previous exclusive brokerage arrangement in the region.
The Turkish explorer yacht builder will operate through its own regional team, led by Ali Tanir, head of Numarine Americas.
Numarine says no single brokerage house would represent the brand exclusively – instead, the company plans to work with brokers and brokerage firms across the market.
Tanir thanked former exclusive partner Denison for its work with the shipyard and added that Numarine was discussing possible future partnerships with several brokerage houses, including Denison.
The Americas and Turkey together form Numarine’s largest client group.
Direct access
Chief executive Patrik von Sydow says the new structure would give American owners and brokers the same direct access to the builder as customers in its domestic market.
“With our own office and our own team in Fort Lauderdale, owners and brokers speak to the shipyard directly,” he said.
Although based in South Florida, the office will cover the wider Americas market.
Numarine says Fort Lauderdale was selected because of its concentration of marine businesses, but the team would seek relationships throughout the United States.
“This office is not just for Florida,” said Tanir. “We will be reaching clients and brokers in every state and we’re looking forward to establishing new connections.”
