Bali Catamarans, a Catana Group brand, has unveiled its new flagship, the BALI 7.0, marking the company’s entry into the mini-superyacht market.
Features of the new catamaran include Bali’s up-and-over door and an open-plan layout that extends to the front of the boat, with the saloon opening onto the forward lounge via a full-length panoramic opening.
External features include a forward-set coachroof that elongates the lines, a tinted superstructure and spacious areas opening out onto the sea.
The catamaran has been developed by Xavier Faÿ in collaboration with Briand Yacht Design and Berco Design + Piaton to preserve easy sailing despite the increase in size.
With the BALI 7.0, we sought to offer all of Catana Group’s expertise to the highest level.
Boris Compagnon
“With the BALI 7.0, we sought to offer all of Catana Group’s expertise to the highest level,” explained Catana Group’s Boris Compagnon.
“Catana’s heritage of offshore performance, Bali’s intelligent design and pioneering spirit, whilst taking a significant step forward in the expression of luxury.
“This boat opens up access to an experience previously reserved for far more exclusive vessels, yet remains faithful to Bali’s core identity.”
The BALI 7.0 is positioned as an owner’s yacht, intended for those seeking to enjoy a level of comfort and service comparable to that found aboard larger craft.
One of the hulls can be dedicated to the owner, transforming into a private suite inspired by luxury hotels, comprising a panoramic sleeping area, a private lounge, a closet, a bathroom and sliding doors allowing for total privacy as desired.
On-board experience
The VIP guest cabins also offer generous space and refined finishes in a relaxing atmosphere.
Layout choices have been chosen to optimise the on-board experience.
The galley is a chef’s kitchen integrated into the port hull, freeing up a bar and reception area in the saloon.
A dumbwaiter connects the different levels of the boat, allowing for service between the galley, the saloon and the rooftop.
The BALI 7.0’s move upmarket is accompanied by an optimised layout of the crew quarters.
Potential of the yacht
The yacht can accommodate up to eight guests, with crew members having dedicated cabins and a separate messroom.
The BALI 7.0 has an upwind sail area of 280sqm (main and genoa) for power and efficiency under sail.
The ergonomics of the helm station and the automation of sailing manoeuvres have been designed to offer intuitive handling and allow a short-handed crew to exploit the yacht’s potential.
The BALI 7.0 can hold up to 2,000 litres of fuel and up to 1,520 litres of fresh water.
Other features include high-capacity lithium batteries and solar panels and quiet air conditioning systems able to operate without a generator in certain configurations.
The catamaran has an overall length of 22.53 metres and a beam of 10.32 metres.
