Mantaray Marina, a new AU$400m mixed-use redevelopment, has officially opened on Australia’s Gold Coast.
The marina, located on The Spit peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and the Gold Coast’s Broadwater, is able to accommodate 67 yachts ranging from 10m-60m (33ft-197ft) and
The development encompasses 10,000sqm land area and 13,000sqm water area with, in addition to the marina berths, includes a 1,100sqm floating lounge, 24 luxury residences, 12 private pools, a 40m resort pool, a retail plaza, and a new public boardwalk.
The marina is the first major development on the peninsula in more than 25 years and was developed by Gordon Corp, led by Tim Gordon in partnership with pub entrepreneur Bruce Mathieson.
“The Mantaray Marina was conceived as a destination in its own right,” said Lara Dimond, Gordon Corp’s sales and marketing director.
“Delivering new berth capacity on the Gold Coast is critical for tourism and for the evolution of The Spit as a superyacht and lifestyle precinct.”
The marina provides direct access to cruising grounds such as the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef.
