Austria’s Frauscher shipyard is embarking on a generational change at its management level.
Georg Frauscher, who joined the boatyard in 2022 and is the son of former MD Michael Frauscher, is to take over responsibility for production and management.
Michael will instead take on the role of head of design where he will continue to be closely involved with the company.
The positions of Andrea Frauscher-Oberfrank, MD Frauscher Hafen, and Stefan Frauscher, MD marketing and sales as well as Andreas Ahamer, MD controlling and purchasing remain unchanged.
The management of Frauscher’s Spanish subsidiary, Frauscher España, is also changing with Florian Helmberger, long-standing sales director at the Frauscher shipyard, also taking on the role of CEO in Spain.
Florian joined Frauscher boats in 2010 and has held various sales positions including head of sales and marketing and director of sales and marketing and managing partner.
The shipyard says with these personnel changes, Frauscher boats is positioning itself for a successful future based on tradition, innovation and a clear vision.
Frauscher boats was founded almost 100 years’ ago and has since evolved, developing a range of sailing and motor boats and expanding its facilities and sales centres.
The latest expansion took place in 2024 with the completion of a new production hall at the company’s site in Ohlsdorf.
