Lippert acquires Trans/Air

Lippert Components has acquired the business assets of Trans Air Manufacturing Corporation (Trans/Air).

Trans/Air was founded in 1979 and provides climate control systems for a variety of vehicles.

The company’s product line includes evaporators, compressors, condensers, hoses and fitting systems, electronic controls and custom-designed drive kits.

Trans/Air is headquartered in Dallastown, Pennsylvania, and also operates several other installation facilities across the country.

The company also has a network of more than 170 authorised service centres across North America.

Lippert has been manufacturing window and glass solutions for over 12 years.

The two companies already share many of the same customers in the transportation vehicle space, and these synergies excite Ryan Smith, group president for Lippert’s North American OEM operations: “We’re pleased to welcome Trains Air to the Lippert family.

“When Lippert was approached with the opportunity months ago, we were immediately impressed with their operational strategies and knew that they would be a great addition to our product portfolio.”

Lippert Components is a subsidiary of LCI Industries and supplies s range of components to the recreation and transportation markets.
