First new EdgeWater model under Nimbus ownership

EdgeWater is launching the new EdgeWater 250CC, a new boat specifically developed to meet customer demand in the commercially attractive 25ft segment in North America.

The launch marks the most significant product renewal within EdgeWater since 2020 and the first since Nimbus Group acquired the company in spring 2023.

The centre console model is the first of several Nimbus Group is planning for the EdgeWater brand.

The 250CC replaces the company’s previous bestseller, the 245CC and has been designed to meet the requests expressed by dealers and customers.

Requested special features

The boat features an unsinkable hull built using vacuum infusion technology and is equipped with a range of requested special features.

These include single or dual Yamaha outboard engines, a range of colour options, and Garmin and Fusion electronics.

There is also a portable head with a dockside pump out as standard.

“The 250CC combines the qualities our customers say matter most — space, storage, fishability, and all-weather performance,” said Justin Joyner, vice president Nimbus Group North America.

Equipped for all conditions

“It is not only the largest in its class, but also the best equipped for all conditions.”

The acquisition of EdgeWater Boats in 2023 was a way of strengthening its position in the North American market.

The launch of the new model follows an expansion of its Norwegian foothold with an updated dealership agreement with Nautic Norway AS.

The company will now also become a dealer of boats under the Nimbus brand in the Oslo region.

Nimbus Group has worked with Nautic Norway for several years in the markets around Bergen and Stavanger.

Investments

“We have a long and solid relationship with Nautic Norway and see a great opportunity to grow in Oslo and the region around the Oslofjord together with Nautic Norway and our dealers Herholdt Andersen and Nimbus Öst,” says Nicklas Bergström, head of commercial sales at Nimbus Group.

In recent years, Nimbus Group has made several investments to increase its presence in the Norwegian market.

In addition to the acquisition of Herholdt Andersen, the company has also acquired the dealership rights for boats under the Nimbus and Paragon brands from Gressvik Marina in Østfold.

The boatbuilder has also established a dealership agreement for Nimbus boats with Grimstad Bådsenter in the Agder region on the southern coast of Norway.
