Dometic has announced plans to close its Montgomery County, US, facility.
The company has filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN notice) with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry outlining the closure.
The closure of the facility in Limerick Township will affect 89 workers, with layoffs scheduled to begin in September 2026 and being phased over several months.
The Dometic layoffs will be completed by March 31 2027.
Employees have been notified of the closure in a letter which stated that the entire facility will be impacted, however some employees may be offered relocation.
The closure is expected to be permanent.
Dometic has used the facility for the manufacture of marine steering systems, controls and cables.
The WARN Act protects workers, families and communities with employers mandated to give 60-days notice before closing plants or conducting mass layoffs.
