The Biograd Boat Show has broken records with the largest expansion in its 26-year history.
This year’s show saw the show’s layout expanded to include the Biograd City Port and Fishing Port with more than 450 exhibitors, over 500 vessels displayed and record attendance of 23.842.
There were also thousands of visitors to the Free Zone in the Fishing Port.
The new expansion included a catamaran show with 20 vessels ranging from 42ft to 65ft. There was also a new area for luxury motor yachts and brokerage supported by lifestyle products including 20 automobiles.
In total, the exhibition area expanded by 20% to more than 50,000m2.
New course for boat show
The expansion of the show allowed for yachts of up to 40m to be displayed, which organisers say sets a new course for the show’s future.
The show saw several vessel debutes including the world debut of the concept vessel by Groupe Beneteau.
The Monomaran is an electric vessel with solar panels that sleeps eight. Biogad was chosen for the global unveiling due to the region’s concentration of closely spaced islands, which is ideal for the concept.
Other show highlights included the eighth Croatia Nautical Days sponsored by the Croatian Chamber of Economy, which hosted the most extensive congress program to date.
In addition, the Croatia Charter Expo B2B show had more than 3,000 charter yachts are on offer to charter agencies.
The show introduced a new Croatia Luxury and Adventure Travel Show, featuring luxury travel and adventure experiences.
And the entertainment program included parties, concerts, an illuminated flyboard show and fireworks.
