Landau Marine has launched a new haulage division, providing a direct haulage service across the UK and Europe.
he marine company, which carries out refit, refurbishment and repair work to a range of vessels introduced the service after experiencing a number of delays using subcontractors to transport vessels.
Using its own vehicle, equipped with a 52 tonne Hiab crane, Landau will be able to collect and return smaller vessels up to 9m LOA and large components up to 11 tonnes of payload.
“We decided to invest in a new modern lorry to provide a secure, premium transport service that will have the lowest environmental impact possible,” explained Ben Metcalf, Landau chief executive.
“By launching this new division, we can now provide a seamless, cost-effective and convenient transport solution which will also eliminate the subcontracting delays we often encounter, providing a reliable solution for our clients.”
And Ben added that other benefits of the new division include streamlining logistics for clients together with any administration involved and paperwork.
“We pride ourselves on providing a customer-centric service and this new division will make any marine projects run smoother and be more affordable,” said Ben.
“Customers will be able to use Landau Marine as a one-stop shop for all their transportation, repair, refit and service requirements.”
