Increased fishing focus from Sea-Doo and Alumacraft

BRP brands Sea-Doo and Alumacraft are increasing their focus in the fishing arena with new 2025 Sea-Doo models and redesigned Alumacraft models.

Sea-Doo’s has launched its new FishPro Apex personal watercraft (PWC) and Switch Fish pontoon, while Alumacraft has remodelled its Trophy and Competitor models.

“Fishing continues to be one of the world’s most popular recreational activities and we see more and more of our customers utilising our brands to get out on the water and enjoy fishing with family and friends,” said James Heintz, director of global product strategy, Sea-Doo and Marine Group at BRP.

“With that said, it only made sense to continue to capitalise on the innovation we are known for to create an even more immersive fishing experience for our customers,”

The FishPro Apex has a limited one-year production run.

The craft is equipped with all the popular features of its predecessor, the FishPro Trophy.

The FishPro Apex is powered by a 300hp Rotax 1630 ACE engine, it has a tall touring windshield, hydraulic steering damper and adjustable handlebar riser.

Other features include a 9in Garmin fish finder GPS with a picture-window view below the surface, chart plotting, ride tracking and more compatible apps to help find the fish.

There is a modular swivel seat and a LinQ cooler with integrated livewell and washdown.

In addition, an intelligent debris free (iDF) pump system allows riders to get as close to the action as possible and clear a clogged intake with the push of a button.

The FishPro Apex comes standard with seven rod holders capable of standing up to rough conditions and high speeds.

A rear deck extension adds stability and four LinQ attachment points allow riders to carry more tackle, equipment, or fuel.

The new Sea-Doo Switch Fish is available in 18 and 21ft lengths, with both models powered by the Rotax 1630 ACE – 230hp engine.

Features of the Switch Fish include a bow-mounted Garmin Force Kraken trolling motor, pedestal seats and a bimini top.

There is also a quick attach 68L LinQ cooler and livewell and integrated washdown system, locking storage space and a separate quick-access rod storage compartment for up to four rods.

Patented LinQ accessory attachment points on the rear deck swim platform also offer a variety of configurations.

Front and rear corner doors provide access to the Switch Fish on the dock and the water. Carpet is used by the front doors as well as on the rear swim platform to increase overall comfort.

It only made sense to continue to capitalise on the innovation we are known for to create an even more immersive fishing experience for our customers.

Alumacraft’s 2XB hull has double plating from bow to stern for maximum durability and a smoother ride.

The 2025 Trophy and Competitor models have a newly designed curved gunnel and a redesigned console – with better integrated switching and electronics using injection-moulded plastic.

The models have a new stern and all-new X-Pods, with redesigned storage solutions, including dedicated rod and tackle storage and large dry areas in the bow.

Benefits of the X-Pods include added buoyancy, enhanced storage, 16in of additional rear deck fishing space, and mounting options for kickers and shallow-water anchors.

A wider beam width offers a more spacious layout and more room for passengers and equipment.

The 2025 models feature a customisable layout with the introduction of Flex Modules and customisable rear livewell configurations.

The boats also include electronics integration, with a 7in Garmin digital dash standard, and a selection of traditional outboard offerings.
