Henri-Lloyd and UKSA partnership

The UK Sailing Academy (UKSA) has appointed Henri-Lloyd as its Official Performance Clothing Partner.

Based in Cowes, Isle of Wight, UKSA is one of the largest maritime training providers in the world, with more than 6,000 young people experiencing water-based adventures each year.

In addition, UKSA provides MCA and STCW training to around 2,000 people each year.

The partnership with Henri-Lloyd will see all UKSA staff and instructors kitted out in the company’s high-performance technical clothing.

“Our two organisations share similar values and a love of sailing,” said Knut Frostad, executive chairman at Henri-Lloyd.

“UKSA was established over 35 years ago thanks to the desire by its founders Sylvia and Noel Lister to introduce as many young people as possible to the inspiration and challenge of sailing.

“Henri-Lloyd was founded in 1963 with the ambition of revolutionising clothing that would enable people to be safe, dry and comfortable in all conditions.”

Chris Frisby, director of training and operations at UKSA added: “It is thanks to the support and generosity from organisations like Henri-Lloyd that enables us to continue to remove socio-economic barriers and open the accessibility of the maritime industry.

“We’re delighted to be partnering again with Henri-Lloyd, a company that shares the same ethics and values as we do.”
