Buster has renewed its Buster L motorboat, with the new, fourth-generation model available in four versions, designed for different users and purposes.
The basic Buster L1 has a single side-mounted console, while the Buster Lcc features a centre console.
The Buster L2 is a dual-console version offering protection for passengers on the aft bench, while the Buster Lx comes with separate seats for the driver and passenger and provides seating for five people behind the protection of the windscreens.
The Buster L has been part of the aluminium boat manufacturer’s model range since 1994, with the model particularly popular in Finland, Sweden and Norway.
The Buster Lx comes with a fixed 53-litre fuel tank as standard, and the same tank is also available for the other models as a factory-installed option.
Additional interior space
“The new Buster L has been designed from the hull up using today’s expertise and to meet the demands of today’s boaters.
“Its external dimensions remain unchanged, but the boat is now roomier and more stable.
“It carries six people and a good amount of cargo, yet it is still easy to transport on a trailer behind an ordinary passenger car,” explained Buster sales and marketing director Artturi Niittynen.
In addition, Buster has redesigned the consoles and provided additional interior space, despite a reduction in the boat’s dimentions.
The new Buster L is 5.12 metres long and 1.95 metres wide – compared with the previous, third-generation Buster L, the maximum hull length is one centimetre shorter, and the boat is four centimetres narrower, but thanks to the new design the interior dimensions are more generous than before.
All versions are self-draining for rainwater.
The heavier Buster Lx has a maximum engine power of 60hp, while the maximum for the other models is 50hp. Top speed with 60hp engine power is approximately 28 knots.
Maximum load
The single-console models weigh 459kg without the engine, the dual-console L2 weighs 468kg and the Lx version weighs 510kg, with the maximum load for all versions being 572kg, including passengers and cargo.
The hull of every model is made from durable, low-maintenance and corrosion-resistant AW 5754 marine-grade aluminium, with a 4mm thick bottom. All models have a non-slip patterned aluminium deck.
The boats are unsinkable, ensured by almost 700 litres of water-resistant buoyancy material that does not absorb water.
Fishing equipment is available for every version.
Production of the new Buster L range has already begun in Ähtäri, Finland, with customer deliveries beginning in the autumn.
