The new Fini 35 is the first semi-rigid boat from Fini Marine.

The 11m craft can be equipped with a T Top and is available in either an inboard or outboard version.

The Fini 35 semi-rigid project was born from an idea from designer Giovanni Ceccarelli.

The idea was shared and developed with technological support from Tecnavan Interiors which specialises in aeronautics using a ‘concurrent engineering’ approach for the choice of materials and FEM analysis on critical components.

For the final design, fluid dynamic analysis tests were carried out by Fluid Engineering, analysing the behaviour of the boat in speed conditions from 16 to 40 knots to validate the geometry of the hull.

An aerodynamic analysis was also carried out, again by Fluid Engineering, with the aim of evaluating the aerodynamic impact on the deckhouse and windshield.

The stiffness of the T Top was verified by Tecnavan to confirm the predictions on the lamination planned in the project and on the deck constraint systems.

The craft is manufactured using carbon composites pre-impregnated with epoxy resin with the moulds designed and manufactured at the plant’s offices.

The polymerization moulds were made with carbon fabrics for moulds for perfect compliance with the project specifications.

The laminates are created in a clean room and cured in an autoclave at a medium temperature to ensure a structure that is free of voids that could lead to delamination and osmosis.

The construction technology used has enabled a weight saving of around 20% compared to a traditional construction, in addition to delivering greater hull rigidity.

This is the first of several planned models to be built by Tecnavan Interiors.
