First OMAYA released from mould

The hull of the first OMAYA 50 50ft luxury catamaran has been released from the mould at Omaya Yachts’ Bulgarian shipyard.

Construction began in late February with the craft expected to be launched in late September.

Installation of internal systems is scheduled to begin soon along with the furniture.

“We’re really excited to reach such a landmark stage of the production for the first hull of the OMAYA 50,” said Kaloyan Radulov, co-founder and CEO of Omaya Yachts. “As with any new project, it wasn’t without its ups and downs, but we are on the home straight as we head towards completion early this autumn.

“In addition to the state-of-the-art systems, the first hull is also upgraded with the fantastic addition of a silent mode, which allows you to operate all systems and equipment onboard while on anchor or moored at the marina without running the engine or generator, just using solar panels and battery banks.”

Lifestyle

The hull has Garmin EmpirBus and Sentinel’s remote boat monitoring and control system for management of the boats’ essential systems and equipment.

It also integrates Raymarine’s systems, including fishfinder, radar VHF, satellite TV and cameras via its multifunctional display units. The model also includes Dockmate for easier docking.

“The Omaya 50 is more than just a yacht; it’s a lifestyle designed for those who seek not only to explore the seas but to do so in unmatched comfort and style,” added Kaloyan.

Work on the second hull is anticipated to begin in August 2024 and Omaya Yachts is also planning to expand its fleet to include 62ft and 80ft options.
