A Creditors meeting has been called by Cornish Crabbers to discuss passing a resolution for voluntary winding up of the partnership.

The virtual meeting of creditors has been called by Peter Thomas, Cornish Crabbers partner.

It will take place on March 13 2024, with resolutions to be discussed including the appointment of a liquidator by creditors.

The notice, published in the London Gazette, follows the appointment of liquidators to Crabbers – formerly the Select Yacht Group Ltd in 2008.

At the time, the assets of the company were bought by Cornish Crabbers customer Philip Langsdale who turned it around to making a profit.

The latest accounts filed for the year ending 31 December 2022 show more than £1 million owned to creditors. This amount includes more than £200,000 in bank loans and overdrafts and almost £200,000 owned to trade creditors.

The company is based in Rock, Cornwall and builds a range of boats from dinghies and tenders to day boats and the Mystery 35.

The company has been building boats since 1979.
