Rolls-Royce and Forsee Power partner to accelerate electrification

Rolls-Royce and Forsee Power, supplier of battery systems, are to jointly develop advanced battery electric propulsion solutions for industrial and transport applications.

The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish the partnership, a collaboration which aims to advance electrification and the energy transition.

As part of the agreement – signed for an initial period of five years – Forsee Power will be the main supplier of battery systems to electrification projects from Rolls-Royce’s Power Systems division.

In addition, the companies will work together to develop and deliver advanced monitoring and analytics solutions that can be integrated into automation solutions.

High-performance battery systems

The two companies will combine their experiences in designing high-performance battery systems that meet performance standards with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity and sustainability.

Rolls-Royce and Forsee Power are aiming for a long-term partnership with the joint development of new innovations.

“Forsee Power combines excellent expertise in high-voltage and high-power systems with global manufacturing competence and an impressive track record,” explained Dr Jonathan Chen, senior vice president at Rolls-Royce.
