Star brite has appointed Erik Applegate as president.
As part of the transition, Gregor Dornau, who has served as president since 2022, will move into a new role as senior advisor, continuing his involvement with the company.
Erik joined Star brite more than 12 years ago, beginning his career with the manufacturer of maintenance products and accessories as an intern.
Over the years, he has taken on roles managing major retail and distribution accounts across the country.
As president, he will oversee all aspects of Star brite’s operations, strategy and growth.

Gregor – son of Star brite founder Peter Dornau – has spent four decades at the company in multiple roles.
Expansion
During his career, he helped lead the company through a period of expansion, growing the business fourfold and launching new brands including Star Tron.
Following the company’s acquisition by OneWater Marine in 2022, Gregor was appointed president and named Erik as his executive vice president.
“Erik has been my right hand for many years, leading significant divisions of our company,” said Gregor.
“His passion, intellect and work ethic, position him to be a great leader.

Star brite is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with manufacturing operations in Montgomery, Albama.
