Heesen Yachts expands commercial team

Heesen Yachts has appointed three senior commercial professionals as it expands its representation in Europe and the Americas.

Folkert Schoots has joined the Dutch shipyard as commercial director, based at its headquarters in Oss. He joins Heesen with more than 14 years’ experience with a Netherlands-based full-custom superyacht builder, covering marketing, new-build sales, refit and service, and yacht resale.

Sipke Halbertsma has been appointed commercial director – Americas, and will work from Heesen’s Florida office.

His remit covers the United States and South America. He previously spent more than 12 years with a Dutch superyacht builder and will act as a link between regional clients and Heesen’s operations in the Netherlands.

Roxane Ducruet has joined Heesen’s Monaco office as sales director – Monaco. She has nearly a decade of experience in the Monaco yachting market and will work alongside sales manager Lyam Last.

Hisham Abushakra will continue as Heesen’s designated sales agent in Dubai, maintaining the company’s representation in the Middle East.

Commercial coverage

The appointments give Heesen direct commercial coverage through its teams in Oss, Florida and Monaco, supported by its existing representative in Dubai.

“We enter the autumn yacht show season with a highly experienced commercial team,” said Jeroen van der Meer, chief executive of Heesen Yachts.

“Our focus remains exactly where it belongs: building reliable yachts and working alongside the brokers and clients who trust our engineering and craftsmanship.”
