First Expedition Series model from Technohull

Technohull has launched the first model in its new Expedition Series, the 14.85m XPD 46.

Features of the new model include a forward-raked windscreen, creating a dynamic profile while mitigating reflections when helming at night and a positive flotation protective fender.

A Dynastream deep-V hull with ventilated steps, a high-flare sheer line and a wave-piercing, shock-mitigating bow design have been designed to maximise performance, comfort and the ability to take on any sea state.

The central superstructure incorporates a forward helm plus three helm chairs, and an aft settee with table, with other configuration options available to suit the need for more helm or lounge seats.

Doors slide away towards the aft, the roof slides back and the large aft window opens to create an inside-outside space.

Social areas outside incorporate an island aft sunbed and seating unit, complemented by a settee into the aft end of the superstructure.

Inboard and outboard power options

The sunpad’s dual-opening provides storage space for stowing toys and even a dinghy.

The vessel’s 4.4m beam allows space for side decks which lead forward to another sunpad in the bow which also hides a locker and storage space.

The sleeping accommodation is split forward and aft of the deck saloon, with the forward master suite accessed via a door at the console.

There’s storage space for personal items, and a separate ensuite head with essential amenities.

The guest double is located aft of the saloon and there is an additional skipper’s cabin below the aft sunbed.

Various inboard and outboard power options are available up to a combined 1,800hp, giving the XPD 46 a cruising speed of around 35 knots, while with higher engine setups the craft can reach speeds close to 60 knots.

Significant step

“The Expedition Series marks a significant step in our journey, a boundary-pushing new family within our range that positions the brand firmly within the explorer market,” explained Gerasimos Petratos, CEO of Technohull.

“Designed for those who seek limitless adventure and wish to enjoy year-round cruising, the XPD 46 masterfully blends extreme capability with the benefits of Technohull’s signature comfort and renowned seaworthiness.

“The inside-outside flexibility of the superstructure and the numerous well-appointed deck areas make this the perfect boat for fun and adventure no matter how near or how far your adventures take you – topped, of course, by our trademark luxury fit and finish.”
