HanseYachts ownership change confirmed

HanseYachts change of ownership has been confirmed, however the issue of the shipyard’s debts remains.

Following on from a previous announcment, the shipyard has confirmed that two of its executives, current CEO Hanjo Runde, and investor Andreas Müller are acquiring the shares of the company’s previous majority shareholder Aurelius.

The transaction will be carried out through their investment companies with the parties having signed a joint Share Purchase Agreement (SPA).

Aa a result of the transaction, Andreas Müller will become the new majority shareholder of HanseYachts.

The confirmed change in ownership of the shipyard is presented as a key step toward the further stabilisation and strategic development of the company.

The completion of the purchase agreement is subject to further arrangements, particularly with the financing banks and the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern – including agreements on the restructuring of existing liabilities.

These are considered crucial prerequisites for the continued transformation of HanseYachts.

In a statement, the parties confirmed negotiations are ongoing, with everyone confident they will act responsibly and in the company’s best interest.

“With Andreas Müller, we gain a strong and committed owner who shares our values and long-term vision,” said Hanjo.

Andreas added: “As a family entrepreneur, the sustainable development of HanseYachts is very important to me.

“What matters most to me is the mindset and actions of a mid-sized business: entrepreneurial, responsible, and focused on the long-term future.”
